To provide a seal structure which prevents corrosion from being generated on the mating surface of an engine body by preventing penetration of cooling water into the mating surface of the engine body.
A main bead 54 is formed in a part corresponding to a center part between a bore hole 41a or the like and a cooling water channel 26 or the like in a metal gasket 40, and an auxiliary bead 55 is formed in a part corresponding to a boundary between the mating surface between a cylinder body 22 and a cylinder head 23 in the metal gasket 40 and cooling water channels 26, 36. The base members of the metal gasket 40 is composed of bead plates 51, 52 with coating layers made of rubber formed on their surfaces and a shim member 53 arranged between the bead plates 51, 52. A main bead 54 is formed by forming each of space parts among the bead plates 51, 52 and the shim member 53, and an auxiliary bead 55 is formed by forming a space part in a predetermined part between the bead plates 51, 52.
