Abstract:
To provide a seal structure which inhibits an increase in contact area between a seal member and a dust cover in a case that a rotary shaft is inserted into a through hole formed at a housing.SOLUTION: A seal member 16 includes: an annular outer periphery press-fitting part 20 which is press-fitted in an inner peripheral surface 14b of a through hole 14a; an annular main lip 22 with which an outer peripheral surface 12a of a rotary shaft 12 comes into slide contact; a connection part 24 which connects the outer periphery press-fitting part 20 with the main lip 22; and an annular side lip 26 which is formed protruding from the connection part 24 in an opposite direction to an insertion direction of the rotary shaft 12. Further, the dust cover 18 includes a contact part 36 which is formed in a discoid shape orthogonal to the insertion direction and comes into contact with the side lip 26. Furthermore, the contact part 36 is formed with an annular recessed part 44 recessed in the opposite direction to the insertion direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
