Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a sealing device having satisfactory and stable sealing performance and a long life by specifying the shape of the protruded stripe section of a dust lip causing no defective lubrication at the lip tip section of the dust lip and having little shape change, the position of the protruded stripe section for proper contact between the lip tip section and the protruded stripe section, and the contact angle of the lip tip section.
CONSTITUTION: A protruded stripe section 11 to be kept in contact with a sliding face is provided on the root 2a side than the lip tip section 10 of a dust lip 6, and the contact section 11a of the protruded stripe section 11 with the sliding face is formed into an R-shape (radius of curvature) larger than the R-shape of the contact section of the lip tip section 10.
