Abstract:
To provide a seal device which can protect a magnetic encoder while preventing entry of muddy water, etc.SOLUTION: A seal device includes a slinger member fitted to a rotation-side member and a seal member fitted to the fix-side member, the seal device sealing the gap between the fix-side member and the rotation-side member. The slinger member includes: a slinger cylindrical part fitted to the rotation-side member; a slinger flange part radially extending from one end of the slinger cylindrical part; and an annular magnetic encoder provided to the slinger flange part. The seal member includes: a core body fitted to the fix-side member; and a seal lip part fastened to the core body. An outer surface of the magnetic encoder is covered with a cover member fitted to the fix-side member, facing the outer surface, and provided with a gap from the outer surface. The one end of the cover member has a bent part with a labyrinth formed between itself and the one end of the rotation-side member of the magnetic encoder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
