To provide a sealing member which prevents a liquid such as water from infiltrating into between the member and another member on the other side through the space between an exposed inner part and an outer part, and a method of manufacturing the sealing member.
A grommet body 1 includes a reinforcing member 2, a plate part 11, and a close sticking member 3. The reinforcing member 2 is constituted of a hard material. In the reinforcing member 2, a through-hole 24 for fixing the grommet body 1 to a door panel 40 is created. The plate part 11 is constituted of an elastic material to be integratedly molded with the reinforcing member 2, and the reinforcing member 2 is buried while the through-hole 24 is being exposed. The close sticking member 3 is stuck to the surface 20a apart from the door panel 40 of the reinforcing member 2 over the whole periphery of the outer brim of the through-hole 24, thereby being stuck to the reinforcing member 2. Besides it is so buried in the plate part 11 as to be stuck to the plate part 11.
