Abstract:
To accurately and quickly detect a seam (bond) position of an electro-resistance-welded tube at any position of an electro-resistance-welded tube manufacturing process.
In this seam position detecting method of the electro-resistance-welded tube 12 of which welded part is annealed after a bead 14 produced by butting welding is cut, a shift amount Δ between a welding line position and the cut band center position is measured on the seam anneal input side, the cut band position is measured at a predetermined position between seam anneal stands or on the annealer 24 output side, the measured value of the measured cut band position is corrected with the shift amount Δ.
