To provide a seat for vehicle capable of lowering the pushing force from a seat back locally working to a body of an occupant when a rear-end collision happens.
When a vehicle is rear-end collided from behind, a waist part of an occupant 12 is moved toward seat back 18 by the inertia force so as to push the seat back 18. A pressure receiver member 20 receives this pushing force and moves rearward of the seat back 18. When the pressure receiver member 20 is moved, a seat side 24 is pulled by a steel wire and rotated around a seat side frame 22 in an arrow C direction. The waist part of the occupant 12 is thereby held from both side parts thereof. With this structure, rebound phenomenon of the occupant 12 is prevented, and the waist part of the occupant 12 is adhered to the seat back. As a result, the pushing force of the seat back 18 to be applied to the occupant 12 is applied to a neck part and the waist part of the occupant, and the pushing force to be applied locally to the neck part can be lowered in comparison with a case where the pushing force is applied to the only neck part.
