Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify the fitting work and effectively utilize the space in vessel by pumping water by the primary seawater pump into the upper part of a buffer tank over a double bottom and supplying said water into the equipment in vessel by the secondary seawater pump, thus obtaining the compact structure. CONSTITUTION:The seawater is automatically taken into a buffer tank 3 and stored by the primary seawater pump 2 in navigation through a scoop water introducing passage 1a connecting the upper part of the buffer tank 3 installed over a hull double bottom 15 and a hull opened port 7. The seawater is supplied into the equipment in vessel by the secondary seawater pumps 4 and 5 on the equal level to the buffer tank 3. If necessary, a selector valve 16 is switched to supply the seawater into the equipment in vessel directly by the primary seawater pump 2. With such constitution, the structure of the apparatus can be made compact, and the manhour for designing and fitting work can be reduced, and the space in vessel can be effectively utilized.
