Abstract:
To provide a secondary battery having a structure in which a large amount of gas generated inside a battery are efficiently discharged to the outside of a battery case in an abnormal case.
A sealing body includes at least a valve body which opens accompanying an increase in pressure and a terminal cap 8. A fusing part 20b which opens gas outside the battery by being fused with gas discharged from an opening of the valve body is provided on at least a part of the terminal cap 8. Therefore, when a large amount of gas are generated in an abnormal case, the gas can be further quickly discharged by fusing the fusing part 20b to enlarge a gas exhaust portion.
