PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a secondary battery which enables the simplification of a process and the improvement of a yield, enables the increase in a capacity density per unit volume of an electrode, and enables the achievement of very stable charge and discharge characteristics in the case of manufacturing a positive electrode including sulfur.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a secondary battery including a positive electrode, a negative electrode and an electrolyte, the positive electrode is formed by coating a conductive base with a slurry including insoluble sulfur obtained as a precipitation product formed when putting gaseous sulfur in carbon disulfide; the density of the resultant coat is 0.5 g/cc or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
