Abstract:
To provide a secondary battery and a manufacturing method thereof capable of increasing the reliability of a plate group in which plates are laminated via a separator.SOLUTION: A secondary battery includes a plate group 20, a negative electrode tab 22C extending from a first side 2a of a negative electrode plate 22, and a negative electrode terminal to which the negative electrode tab 22C is electrically connected. A separator 23 includes a first adhesive portion 32a that is arranged on both sides of the negative electrode plate 22 and in which first extension portions 31a extending from the first sides 2a are bonded to each other, and a second adhesive portion 32b in which second extension portions 31b extending from the second sides 2b on the opposite side of the first side 2a are bonded to each other. The first adhesive portion 32a has a concave first concave portion in a part in the longitudinal direction along the first side 2a. The second adhesive portion 32b has a concave second recess in a part in the longitudinal direction along the second side 2b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
