Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent section over of a train where high current flows through a pantograph when the train's pantograph passes through a section of an electric-car line.
SOLUTION: Respective photoelectric sensors 17 and 18 disposed near the section 1 at a predetermined interval are provided at a height where light outgoing from a projecting part is shielded by each rolling stock when the rolling stock of the train 4 passes and the light reaches a light receiving part disposed at a position facing to the projecting part on both sides of a railroad 19 when a rolling stock coupling part 15 passes. A signal processing part 22 measures detection of incoming to the section 1 of the train 4 and speed of each rolling stock in response to reactions of respective photoelectric sensors 17 and 18. When the speed of each rolling stock is not higher than a reference speed that may generate the section over and one of circuit breakers 10 and 12 is opened, the signal processing part 22 outputs a determination signal for opening the other non-opened circuit breaker to command a substation (not shown) to stop the feeding.
