The hanger 17 of a hoist 15 is threadedly engaged with the external thread part 104 of a lifting fitting 18 threadedly engaged with a segment S, so that the segment can be lifted and conveyed to a predetermined position. For the segment S conveyed to the predetermined position, an erector device 14 causes a fitting receiving member 56 to support the stepped part 106 of the lifting fitting 18 from a side to receive the segment S and assemble it to the interior wall surface of a tunnel. Thereafter, a fitting removal device 19 automatically removes the lifting fitting 18 remaining on the existing segment S, by causing a drive gear 70 to rotate in mesh with a driven gear 105.
