To enable ready selection of a makeup cosmetic material which makes a natural makeup flesh color, by objectively predicting the natural makeup flesh color (satisfying the correction intention without respect to skin color, and the makeup flesh color which is sensed the most natural color), for each subject to be tested who applies the makeup cosmetic material.
For a plurality of females to be tested of a specified age bracket, a colorimetric test before applying the makeup cosmetic material and the colorimetric test of the natural makeup flesh color are carried out. Regression line of the colorimetric value, before applying the makeup cosmetic material and the colorimetric value of the natural makeup flesh color, is found. Based on this, the natural makeup flesh color of an arbitrary female to be tested of the above age and the same age is calculated from the calorimetric value, prior to the application of the makeup cosmetic material to the female to be tested. The makeup cosmetic material, making the natural makeup flesh color, consists of the cosmetic material which a distance on a color space between the predicted value of the makeup flesh color and the predicted value of the natural makeup flesh color becomes the smallest, by predicting the makeup flesh color of the female to be tested on a plurality of the makeup cosmetic materials, apart from the makeup cosmetic material derived from the regression line.
