PURPOSE: To hold an article to be carried on a carriage body in the attitude that a worker can do the work easily by making an elevating mechanism for elevating an article supporting member and a standing mechanism for standing it on the carriage body work separately and individually.

CONSTITUTION: When an article is to be inclined, an auxiliary motor 46 is operated in advance to stand a fall preventing arm 25 and bring it into contact with the article, a lift operating motor 54 is not operated but only a tilting motor 43 is operated, and then, a tilt arm 24 is stood with a supporting member 26. When the article is lifted without stood up, the motor 43 is operated and the tilt arm 24 is stood and the motor 54 is operated at the same time, and then, even if its output shaft is going to rotate, as a supporting shaft directly connected to it is fixed and can not be rotated, the body side of the motor 54 is rotated and the supporting member 26 is inclined by an angle equal to a standing angle of the tilt arm 24. Thus, the supporting member 26 is raised without inclined against a carriage body 21.
