Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a semiconductor device for image processing, which is formed small its occupation area on a chip and is easily increased its integration scale.
CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor device for image processing has resonance tunnel transistors, which control the ratio of a resonance tunnel current, which is made to flow between an N-type ohmic electrode 109 and an N-type ohmic electrode 110, to a non-resonance tunnel current, which is made to flow between the electrodes 109 and 110, by changing the widths of deflection layers by an applying voltage to a control electrode 111, and the device s constituted into a structure wherein a plurality of pieces of these resonance tunnel transistors are coupled with each other in a reticular form.
