Abstract:
To provide an optical device with which exit radiant light beams with a desirable frequency can be efficiently obtained.
This optical device is provided with an optical modulation region. The optical modulation region is provided with a phase-matching means 1 for the purpose of reinforcing phase-matching between such signals of two different frequencies, that propagate in the optical modulation region in response to irradiation by at least one incident radiant light beams 7, 8. The phase- matching means 1 is provided along the passage of the incident radiant beam 7, 8 with a spatial change 5 in the refractive index.
