Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of performing a product-sum operation efficiently.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device includes a multiplier, an adder, and a switch. The multiplier outputs a multiplication result of a first number and a second number. The adder outputs an addition result of the multiplication result and a third number. The multiplier has a nonvolatile memory. When the first number is an odd number, the multiplication result is written in the nonvolatile memory. When the first number is an even number, the multiplication result is read out by bit shifting the data written in the nonvolatile memory. The switch stops supplying power source voltage. The nonvolatile memory includes a transistor having a metal oxide in a channel formation region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
