To provide a semiconductor light-emitting device which is easily controlled, and the wavelength of output light of which is changed, and also to provide a semiconductor light source device.
The semiconductor light-emitting device 11A changes the wavelength of a light outputted from an output end 47, and it is provided with: a light-emitting diode 13 having a semiconductor layer 57a which emits a light by injecting carriers; a wavelength variable filter 15 which selects a light with a specified wavelength of r among lights outputted from the light-emitting diode to output it to the side of an output end 47, and change the specified wavelength; and a substrate S with the light-emitting diode and the wavelength variable filter. The output end is provided with a low-reflection film R1 which suppresses reflection of a light outputted from the wavelength variable filter, and the wavelength variable filter is provided with: a plurality of ring-like waveguides 29 and 31 which are different in optical path length with each other and are optically coupled to each other; and electrodes 25 and 27 to apply a signal to at least either of the ring-like waveguides.
