To form a large-scale logic circuit by using a finite semiconductor device, by a method wherein logic-circuit information is transferred to a memory circuit other than a logic circuit being operated, the memory circuit is changed over to the logic circuit being operated after the completion of its transfer, and the transfer time is not required operationally.
A semiconductor logic circuit device is composed of a first logic circuit 12 or of a second logic circuit 13. The logic of the logic circuit 12 or 13 is decided by logic-circuit information which is set in a first memory circuit 10 or a second memory circuit 11. The logic-circuit information is transferred by a circuit-information control part 1 to the memory circuit 10 or 11 via a logic-circuit selection part 14. The signal of the logic circuit 12 or 13 is connected to an input/output circuit via the logic-circuit selection part 14 so as to couple a signal input 38 and a signal output 37 to the logic circuit 12 or 13. In the case of a nonvolatile memory element, the selection of the logic circuit 12 or 13 connected to the signal output 37 and the signal input 38 is decided by a selection signal 36 and an internal signal.
