Abstract:

To provide a semipermeable membrane support excellent in suitability for coating with a semipermeable membrane solution, surface smoothness, and adhesiveness between non-coated surfaces, and a method of manufacturing the semipermeable membrane support.

The semipermeable membrane support includes a coated surface coated with a semipermeable membrane and a non-coated surface. The water absorbence of the coated surface by the Cobb method is 11.0-40.0 g/m2. In the method of manufacturing the semipermeable membrane support, at least one roll of a heating and pressurizing device is heated, and the nip passing time is set to be 0.10×10-2-12.00×10-2 s.
