Abstract:
To provide a transmitting and receiving method for enabling users to view subscription programs without failing to process ECMs and EMMs necessary for descrambling, in the present embodiment.SOLUTION: According to one embodiment, there are included: a tuner unit configured to receive a service signal; a descrambler configured to receive a scrambled content output from the tuner unit; a control unit configured to control at least the tuner unit and the descrambler; and a CAS module configured to obtain a second key (Ks) to be given to the descrambler. The control unit set that, after receiving an EMM per one business entity, at least R (an integer greater than or equal to 1) of the EMMs should be processed within a processing grace period with respect to the CAS module. The control unit, after detecting the EMM of the one business entity and then processing R EMMs within the EMM processing grace period, when the next EMM is detected, suppresses a command transmission to the CAS module with regard to the EMM within at least the grace period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 25
