Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attain high sensitization by using a dye having a functional group forming a chelate with zinc.

CONSTITUTION: A dye having a functional group represented by the formula (where R is alkylene) is dispersed in binder resin together with zinc oxide powder for electrophotography, and the dispersion is applied to an Al sheetlike substrate to form an electrophotographic receptor. The dye includes calcein, xylenol orange and o-cresolphthalein complequinone.
