Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor and a condition determination device and a condition determination method for a machine tool in which mechanical action and thermal action can be simultaneously detected.
SOLUTION: Distorgion gauges A1, A2 are disposed on an upper surface of a silicone rubber 12, and strain gauges B1, B2 are disposed on the lower surface side. The strain gauges A1, A2 are attached to a lower surface of a tool 20, and a steel plate 14 is installed on the side of the strain gauges B1, B2 to form a free interface. A heat flux of the tool 20 and the free interface combined with strain change of the tool 20 is outputted from the strain gauges A1-B2. A signal of the strain change (mechanical behavior) of a subject to be measured combined with the heat flux (thermal behavior) is thus provided, that is mechanical behavior and thermal behavior can be simultaneously outputted, thereby processing conditions can be grasped multi-dimensionally.
