Title:
SEPARATION OF METAL SULFATE FROM SULFURIC ACID
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6456304
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To economically and efficiently obtain metal sulfate useful to chemical industrial fields, etc., by cooling a sulfuric acid solution concentrated by a specified concentration, adding Fe (III) salt, and separating a formed solid metal sulfate (hydrogen sulfate).

CONSTITUTION: Sulfuric acid such as diluted sulfuric acid containing the metal sulfate is concentrated up to 55-75 wt.% H2SO4 concentration with evaporation to obtain a solution or a suspension liquid. Next, the solution is added the Fe (III) salt and is kept at 0.01 wt.% Fe (III) contents, next being cooled and produced solid metal sulfate and/or hydrogen sulfate. The solution is separated by a mechanical separation method such as filtering to obtain the metal sulfate.
