To provide a server system and the like capable of introducing a new specification for improving attraction in selection control processing, and applying strong motivation to execution of the selection control processing, and improving desire of a player.SOLUTION: A server device 10 causes a player to select one or more game media out of a selection object group formed of the plurality of game media to acquire the game medium (media), if a game medium selected by the selection control processing is predicted, sets as prediction content information, in advance, before executing the selection control processing, a prediction content predicted, then on the basis of a selection specific game medium indicating a game medium specified by the selection control processing, and the set prediction content information, determines whether the prediction content indicated by the prediction content information matches the selection specific game medium, then, if it is determined that the prediction content matches the selection specific game medium by the determination processing, grants to the player a privilege based on the game medium which is caused to be acquired by the player, by determination that the prediction hit the mark.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
