Abstract:
PURPOSE: To restrain phase noise low in a short response time by fluctuating an oscillation frequency of a control oscillator by applying control voltage to it and setting the optimum value that can stabilize an oscillator frequency in which a feedback loop slaves control voltage. CONSTITUTION: A switch 12 is driven by a 'window' type comparator 15 to which stable reference voltage Vfm is applied. The device 15 compares output voltage of an integrator 8 with the reference voltage. The comparator 15 leaves the switch 12 closed as long as this value is within a voltage area with the reference voltage Vfm at the center of it or as long as it is outside the window of a constant but variable width df. Also, the comparator 15 opens the switch 12 and the output voltage of the integrator 13 is stabilized when the value exceeds either of high or low threshold of both sides of the Vfm . Thereby, phase noise is reduced in a short time.
