Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a shaft bushing allowing quick confirmation of the damage of to packing.
CONSTITUTION: A chamber 38 containing a sealing liquid 41 is arranged between two shaft packings 36, 37, and the chamber 38 is connected to a storage tank 40. In a shaft bushing damaged in a liquid pump, for example, the surface 44 within the storage tank 40 of the sealing liquid 41 regulated to a required filled state (preferably, interposed with a movable sealed membrane 54) acts on a signal generator arranged outside the storage tank 40, when it is covered with a piston 46 to change the filled state, so as to give an alarm, whereby the damage can be immediately confirmed.
