Abstract:

To provide a shearing method for improving shearing-end-face corrosion resistance of a ferritic stainless steel plate used in the atmospheric environment without executing corrosion-resistant processing thereon.

A clearance is equal to or less than 12% for shearing the ferritic stainless steel plate which contains ≤0.02% C, 0.05-0.8% Si, 0.05-1.0% Mn, ≤0.04% P, ≤0.1% Al, 20-24% Cr, 0.3-0.8% Cu, 0.05-6.0% Ni, ≤0.02% N and 0.001-0.1% S. The average crystal grain size of a ferrite phase is ≥5 μm and ≤25 μm, and 50-400 particles of MnS having the particle size of ≥0.05 μm and ≤1 μm exist in 1 cm2, and the clearance (%) is (x/d)×100, (wherein x represents a gap (mm) between a blade and a stand, and d represents a thickness (mm) of the steel plate).
