Abstract:
To suppress entering of recording sheet pieces and foreign matters, etc. into a cutting means, to prevent generation of jam within the cutting means, and to prevent damage to the cutting means.
This sheet cutting device has: carrying means 6 and 11 connected to an image forming device to receive the recording sheet formed with images from the image forming device and carry the recording sheet; and first and second cutting mechanisms 4 and 5 for cutting the recording sheet carried by the carrying means 6 and 11. In the vicinity of each of the first and second cutting mechanisms 4 and 5, shielding walls 2a, 2b:3a, 3b for opening/closing a carrier path leading to the first and second cutting mechanisms 4 and 5 are provided.
