To provide a sheet material with an adsorption decomposition function; this sheet has a uniform air purification function, is rich in design nature and can be used by being adhered to structure ceiling or wall surfaces.

A paint containing a volatile organic substance (VOC) and having a function to adsorb and decompose odor ingredients, using the catalytic effects of bamboo charcoal, is produced by kneading and burning bamboo charcoal powder and clay together, and then crushing and mixing the resulting white porous burnt material in an inorganic paint. The subject sheet-like material with an adsorption decomposition layer formed on its surface is obtained by evenly applying this paint to the surface of a fibrous air-permeable flexible sheet and then drying it. This sheet is adhered to structure component surfaces with adhesives in order to purify the structure indoor air. It is also possible to form an adsorption decomposition layer on the back of this flexible sheet. The adsorption decomposition function can be added to the adhesives used by mixing the fine powder of this porous burnt material in the adhesives.
