Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect the fact that the number of sheets housed in an ejecting tray reaches a limiting value (that is, overstacking), without providing another member.
CONSTITUTION: The sheet ejected from an image recorder U2 is ejected to the ejecting tray and an ejected sheet counter 217 counts the number of the sheets detected by a sheet ejection sensor 19. A comparing means 218 compares the number of the ejected sheets Sn counted by the ejected sheet counter 217 with a limiting number Sa. When an overstacking detecting means 219 detects the fact that Sn≥Sa is obtained, an overstacking signal transmitting means 220 transmits an overstacking signal to the image recorder U2 and when it receives the overstacking signal, an image record stopping means 202 stops the actuation of an image recording part K and the occurrence of the overstacking is displayed on a display part 156d.
