Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the mismatching of the sheet by moving a holding part upstream of the carrying direction of the sheet by a holding part moving means in a condition where the sheet is held by a carrying means to prevent dispersion of the fall position of the sheet to be carried out onto an intermediate tray. SOLUTION: When an image-formed sheet enters a U-turn path 51, a forward end of the sheet is led to a U-turn guide 66 and an oscillation guide, and enters a nip between a U-turn roller 52 and a carriage roller 53. The carriage roller 52 is pressed against the U-turn roller 52 with the prescribed force through a bearing 56 by a compression spring 58 abutted on a support piece 57 positioned by abutting a rib 63 on a cam 64 of an intermediate tray 29. The carriage roller 53 is moved upstream of the carrying direction along the circumferential surface of the U-turn roller 52 during the carriage. The dispersion of the fall position of the sheet to be carried out onto the intermediate tray is reduced, and folding caused by the buckling, defective matching and pollution of the sheet to be discharged onto the intermediate tray can be prevented.
