PURPOSE: To permit stable feeding of sheets to dies without damaging the same by constituting vertically movably skid bars disposed with a sheet receiving base in a three-dimensional transfer bar between a destacker and a die press.
CONSTITUTION: Skid bars 17, 19 for transporting sheets 10 are first leveled with respect to a press die 7. One sheet 10 is carried from a destacker 2 onto the bars 17, 19 groups in a low position. Both feed bars 9 are thereafter approached to each other and the sheet 10 is clipped with detaining fingers 12 attached to the bars 9 while the positional deviation of the sheet 10 is corrected. The bars 9 are moved upward to lift formed articles 11 in each forming stage by means of the fingers 12. The sheet 10 is glided on the bars 17, 19 and the die 7 and is transferred onto the die 7. The bars 17, 19 descend cooperatively with the descent of the bars 9 and thereafter the similar operations are repeated to convey the sheets 10 to the press die without any damage thereon, by which the sheets are pressed.
