To provide a shelf member which demonstrates advantages such as easy fixing work for a wall, and to simplify a structure to fix a shelf to a wall.

A shelf plate member 1 comprises a shelf plate 11 and plate-like mounting plates 12 and 12 which are formed integratedly on and under a base of this shelf plate 11 and are used to mount it on a wall 6. A lighting equipment 3 to illuminate lower areas is installed in the shelf plate 11. An inspection opening 13 which can open the interior is provided on the upper surface of the shelf plate 11. The top and bottom mounting plates 12 and 12 of the shell member 1 are fixed to the wall 6 by screws 16 and 16, and backing materials 8 and 8 are fixed on and under it, and at positions of the mounting plates 12 and 12, cover materials 18 and 18 are installed so that level differences from backing materials 8 and 8 are almost flush. Then, cloth 9 is pasted on the surfaces of the backing materials 8 and 8, and the cover materials 18 and 18.
