Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of contact, and to improve the reliability of grounding connection by integrally fitting an elastic contact piece to a screw part of a fitting screw in an upper shell of a pair of shells, so that a head part of the fitting screw is made to contact a grounding path of a circuit board.
SOLUTION: Plural elastic contact pieces 23 directly and elastically making contact with a side part of a screw part 31 of a fitting screw fastened to a fitting nut 33 by threading are provided in both sides of an upper shell 21. Each elastic contact piece is formed by folding the upper shell 21 downward from both sides of the upper shell 21, and has a contact projecting part 24 for elastical contact with a side part of the screw part 31 in a tip thereof. When a shield connector 1 is fit to a circuit board 40, a fitting nut 33 is pressed into an insertion recessed part 12 of a housing 10 for locking. Each fitting boss 14 of the housing 10 is inserted into a fitting hole 41 of the circuit board 40, and the screw part 31 of the fitting screw is inserted into a fitting screw through-hole 13 from under the circuit board 40 and is threaded with a screw hole of the fitting nut 33 for fastening. The shield connector 1 is thereby fixed to the circuit board 40.
