PURPOSE: To obtain a high accuracy body structure for making getter mounting position precise in an assembly structure of an electron gun for cathode-ray tube.

CONSTITUTION: A stepped part is formed on the inside of a shield cup 2, and by putting the lower end of a getter rod 1 thereto, accuracy in the direction of height is achieved. A guide receiver 8 is formed, so as to facilitate determination where to mount the getter rod 1, and displacement or tilting of the shield cup 2 in the circumferential direction is prevented. Erronous mounting in reverse direction by 180° can thus be prevented.
