Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a shielding device which can improve its own grounding, having a conductive housing metallic box for a filter, especially the ground in the case that the filter is attached onto a circuit board, using a surface- mounting technique. CONSTITUTION: A projection 5 is made on the wall 4 of a conductive housing 1, and the conductive housing is grounded by soldering connection on the projection. The projection is made in such a way that the outermost point of the projection determines the same plane (A-A) accurately as far as possible together with the earth face of a lead wire 12, so as to perform the favorable and equal ground in surface mounting. The wall of the shell 1 which is a conductive housing is made of aluminum covered with sliver, and the thickness is about 0.3 mm. The bump being the projection is formed by pressing, and its nominal height is 0.3 mm.
