Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield machine giving no effect to the surrounding by vertically dividing a cutter section, forming the upper section into a front opened type and the lower section into a front closed type, advancing the upper section via the reaction force to the lower section, and advancing the lower section via the reaction force to segments.
SOLUTION: An upper shield machine 2 having a rectangular cross section and provided with an earth auger 23 in the front is movably installed on a lower shield machine 1 having a rectangular cross section and provided with a rocking cutter 13. A drilling device such as a shovel may be installed in place of the earth auger 23. When a tunnel covered with shallow soil is to be drilled, the upper section of the tunnel is drilled by the upper shield machine 2, it is advanced via the reaction force to the lower shield machine 1, the lower shield machine 1 is advanced via the reaction force to segments for one ring of segments. The whole cross section of the tunnel is not drilled simultaneously, and drilling can be efficiently executed without giving an effect to the surrounding.
