Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shield radiation from an electromagnetic radiation source, by forming a shielding thin film using a waveguide barrier, a mesh, a deflection layer, an absorption funnel layer, a reflection board and an appropriate absorption medium, and absorbing and dispersing incident radioactive rays. CONSTITUTION: A waveguide barrier 3 forms an incidence surface 2 of a shielding thin film 1, and a mesh 5 made of conductive plastics or metal is provided on the back side of the waveguide barrier 3. A deflection layer 7 formed by a plurality of conductive deflection pads 21 is provided on the base side of the mesh 5. A spacer 15 is provided between the mesh 5 and the deflection layer 7, thus isolating the deflection layer. An absorption funnel layer 9 has a plurality of pores 25 and is distanced away from the deflection layer 7 on the base side thereof. A second spacer 15' is provided between the deflection layer 7 and the absorption funnel layer 9. A reflection board 11 is located on the base side of the absorption funnel layer 9, and a spacer 15" is provided between absorption funnel layer 9 and the reflection board 11.
