Abstract:
To provide a ship and a maneuvering method of the ship capable of relieving a wave shock while the ship is stopped and of suppressing the deterioration of propulsion performance due to a change in the attitude (trim) of the hull.SOLUTION: In the range including the whole of a first region R1 between a stern end 2 of a ship 1 and the position corresponding to 15% of the total length LOA of the ship 1 measured from the stern end 2 toward the front, and in the ship with the downward convex surface shape in the middle part of the cross section of a stern bottom 3, the ship provides a plate-like member 6 capable of expanding outward in the lateral direction of the hull outer than a shipboard 5 respectively on the shipboard 5 of both sides of the ship over a second region R2 which is a part of the first region R1 and corresponds to 25-100% of the range of the first region R1. The ship 1 expands the plate-like member 6 outward in the lateral direction of the hull outer than the shipboard 5 when it navigates at a high speed and the ship 1 houses the plate-like member 6 inside the shipboard 5 when it stops or navigates at a low speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
