Abstract:
To provide a method for electrically coupling a motor assembly and a conductor in a ship propulsion device with an electric motor.SOLUTION: A drive housing 2 has a cavity 28 extending between a first end part 5 and a second end part 7, and inwardly extending from the second end part. In the step of positioning a conductor 14 configured to transmit electrical power for a ship propulsion device 1 inside the drive housing, the step of inserting a motor assembly 30 into the cavity and the step of electrically coupling the motor assembly and the conductor are performed while positioning the motor assembly in the cavity without putting the same in the cavity via the first end part of the drive housing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
