PURPOSE: To detect a shoe mark as a static pattern, to improve the inspection accuracy, and also to execute a detection of a real time by providing an optical detecting means for scanning a light to a pipe to be transferred and detecting a surface data a time elapses, and a data operating means for bringing the data to a cumulative processing as each instantaneous value of a rotational movement of the pipe.
CONSTITUTION: The titled device is provided with an optical detecting means for projecting a laser beam to a scanning part 21 of a pipe 1 which is rotated and transferred at a prescribed speed in a pipe transfer part, and detecting a pipe surface data as time elapses by its reflected light, and a data operating means for bringing a scan data S1 being a pipe surface data of the detecting means 3, to a cumulative processing as each instantaneous value of a rotational movement of the pipe 1. In this state, based on an operation data S2 being an operation result of the operating means 4, a shoe mark 2 which is generated in the course of a rotational movement in the pipe is inspected. In this way, the shoe mark can be detected as a static pattern, the inspection accuracy is improved, and also, when the pipe 1 passes through the transfer part, the shoe mark can be detected at a real time.
