Title:
SHORT-RANGE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006319652
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To allow two-way communication by transmitting information for triggering a start of short-range communication from a remote place to trigger the short-range communication between main and sub communication devices by using a nondirective wireless communication means.

The short-range communication system is equipped with the main communication device 1 including a directional wireless communication transmitter 104 having directivity to perform transmission unidirectionally, and a nondirective wireless communication transceiver 105 having no directivity to perform transmission and reception bilaterally; and the sub communication device 2 including the directional wireless communication receiver 201 having directivity by which communication can be received from the directional wireless communication transmitter 104, and the nondirective wireless communication transceiver 205 having no directivity by which communication with the nondirective wireless communication transceiver 105 is possible to perform transmission and reception bilaterally. Information is transmitted to the directional wireless communication receiver 201 by using the directional wireless communication transmitter 104, and encrypted communication using a first cryptographic key contained in the information is performed by the nondirective wireless communication transceiver 205.
