Title:
SIGNAL CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1123312
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a signal converter by which an analog input can be converted in such a way that an input/output relationship becomes nonlinear by a method wherein a plurality of straight lines are interpolated by the gain of an analog amplifier having a flat limit function. SOLUTION: In a zone limiter N1 , an input signal from an amplifier 01 is inverted by an amplifier 13, a limiter 14 outputs a signal when its output is larger than a limit value L1 , and an amplifier 15 adds both outputs. Then, until the input signal reaches the limit value L1 , an output G1 is output. When it is at the limit value L1 or higher, a flat output F1 is output. A zone limiter N2 output a gain G2 until a limit value (L1 +L2 ), and it outputs a flat output F2 at the limit value (L1 +L2 ) or higher. In the same manner, at a limit value (L1 +L2 +L3 +L4 +L5 ) a zone limiter N5 outputs a flat output F5 , and a zone limiter N6 outputs a gain G6 . Their outputs are added by adders a1 to a5 , and a converted signal is output from an amplifier 02. Consequently, both a gain setting operation and a limiter setting operation are adjusted, an analog input can be converted in such a way that an input/output relationship becomes nonlinear.
