PURPOSE: To provide a silencing pillow which actively reduces noise in the vicinity of the bedside.

CONSTITUTION: Noise in a room is inputted by a noise source microphone 102, a signal to negate the inputted noise is generated by an adaptive filter 110, and the signal is converted into sound by a speaker 103. In the vicinity of the speaker 103, interference sound between the sound generated from the speaker 103 and the noise in the room is inputted by a detecting microphone 104. The signal generated by the adaptive filter is corrected by a control part 111 so as to minimize the interference sound in order to accurately negate the noise in the room.
