Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both a silicone rubber sponge forming composition capable of becoming a silicone rubber sponge having uniform and fine foam cells after curing and the silicone rubber sponge and to provide a method for producing the silicone rubber sponge forming composition and the silicone rubber sponge.
SOLUTION: This silicone rubber sponge forming composition is characterized by comprising (A) an organopolysiloxane raw rubber having ≥1,000,000 mPa.s viscosity at 25°C, (B) an inorganic filler, (C) thermoplastic resin hollow powder, (D) a water-in-oil type emulsion composed of a silicone oil as an oil layer and (E) a curing agent. This method for producing the silicone rubber sponge forming composition is characterized by compounding the component (A) with the component (B) to make a silicone rubber base compound and then mixing the silicone rubber base compound with the component (C), the component (D) and the component (E). This silicone rubber sponge is obtained by heating and curing the silicone rubber sponge forming composition. This method for producing the silicone rubber sponge is characterized by heating the silicone rubber sponge forming composition to a temperature equal to or higher than the softening point of a thermoplastic resin constituting the component (C) and curing the composition.
