To obtain both non-staining property and transparency of a tube to be suitably used in a carrier system of food and drink by providing an internal layer in which an antibacterial agent of prescribed quantity is added to a transparent silicone rubber as a matrix, and an external layer made of transparent silicone rubber and formed so as to cover the internal layer.
A silicone rubber tube 1 is formed into a double layer structure of an external layer 2 made of addition reaction type silicone rubber with high transparency and an internal layer 3 made of a material in which the same silicone rubber is used as a matrix and an antibacterial agent 4 is added to the matrix. By using zeolite carrying metallic silver as the antibacterial agent and making the internal layer 3 considerably thinner than the external layer 2, high transparency is obtained as the whole of the tube 1. When the tube 1 is manufactured, powders of base polymer, cross-linking agent, platinum catalyst and antibacterial agent 4 are mixed with silicone oil and the obtained base compound is processed so as to be co-extruded and molded as a tube material.
