PURPOSE: To obtain an image small in dye stains, superior in color reproducibility, small in variation of photographic performance during storage, and superior in graininess by incorporating a specified compound in a photo graphic constituent layer.
CONSTITUTION: The photographic constituent layers formed on a support comprise at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a yellow coupler, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a magenta coupler, and at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a cyan coupler. At least one of the photographic constituent layers contains the compound not developing color and resistant to diffusion represented by formula I in which R1 is alkyl, aryl, or the like; each of R2 and R3 is H, acyl, or the like; and Z is cyano, nitro, or the like, thus permitting the obtained silver halide color photographic sensitive material to be small in dye stains, superior in color reproducibility, small in variation of photographic performance during storage, and superior in graininess and sharpness.
