Abstract:

To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material which can be handled in a bright room by incorporating dispersion of solid fine particles of a specified compd. into a layer.

This silver halide photographic sensitive material has at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one nonphotosensitive hydrophilic colloid layer on a base body. At least one of these layers contains dispersion of solid fine particles of a compd. expressed by formula. In formula, R1-R4 are independently hydrogen atoms, halogen atoms, alkyl groups, aryl groups, hydroxyl groups, alkoxyl groups, aryloxy groups, cyano groups, nitro groups, carboxyl groups, sulfo groups, alkoxycarbonyl groups, aryloxycarbonyl groups, etc., and R1 and R2, or R3 and R4 may be bonded to form rings. Y is an oxygen atom or =NR5, R5 is an aliphatic group, heterocyclic group or aryl group.
